Ep 26: High School Classes, Lunch and Sports | Food Allergy Talk
On this episode of Food Allergy Talk, I welcome back my oldest child, Stetson Horne. Stetson is anaphylactic to 9 different foods. He has homeschooled preschool through 8th grade.
This year as part of our religion, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, he started taking seminary class with the local High School students, he also registered as a dual enrollment homeschool and high school student taking two electives: Stagecraft and German. Additionally, he made the Varsity Golf team, as well as the Junior Varsity Esports Team
Today we will talk to Stetson about what his experience has been food allergy related taking high school classes, and being on team sports. We will also discuss particular situations and his own tips and tricks to navigating high school as a teen with anaphylactic food allergies.
