Welcome back to the Food Allergy Talk Podcast. If you’re living it or have a question about it, we are talking about it. I’m your host Lisa Horne of Food Allergy P.I.

On this episode of Food Allergy Talk, I welcome Paige L. Freeman, Ph.D. Dr. Freeman is a food allergy psychologist who has navigated her child’s food allergy for the last 16 years. She is also a frequent FARE contributor, a Behavioral Healthcare advisor for the Food Allergy Counselor, Inc., and frequently does guest podcasts discussing the biopsychosocial navigation of food allergy management. She provides telehealth services in about 40 states to support others managing food allergies.

Today I’m going to chat with Dr. Freeman about her child's peanut allergy, Dr. Freeman’s allergies to medications, and how when she became a food allergy mom she realized how little psychological support there was for people navigating food allergies. We will also dive into trauma, how it relates to food allergy and tips to overcome overwhelm.
